In Lanesboro our main partner is Lanesboro Arts. In addition to the above, in Northfield, we have partnered with Riverwalk Market Fair, Northfield Union of Youth (The Key), Northfield Retirement Community, Spring Wind Farm, Community Action Center, neighbors from Viking Terrace, Laura Baker Association Services. The project has partnered with the Northfield Public Library, the Human Rights Commission, the Northfield Arts Guild, the Arts & Culture Commission, and Lanesboro Arts. ![]() Throughout its many phases, The Wandering House has received funding from the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture (NALAC, 2019), the McKnight Foundation (2020), the Minnesota State Arts Board (20), the Public Works Initiative at Carleton College (2018-2021), and most recently, from Forecast Public Art (2022). Originally from Chile and a long-time resident of the American Midwest, her work is known for placing community members at the center of the creative process, engaging them as active participants and co-creators of meaning. The Wandering House is the creation of artist, filmmaker and educator Cecilia Cornejo Sotelo. The material collected will become part of Sonic Landscapes of Southern Minnesota, a sound-mapping website and archive that will come live at the end of summer of 2022. ![]() The gathering period for both audio testimonies and ambient sounds goes from January to November of 2022.
